Jangloos Novel Summary:
The Urdu novel Jangloos has a lot of suspense and fear factor. This story is actually about the conditions of the Punjab region before the formation of Pakistan. It is a social story that is closer to reality as its characters are similar to people with criminal backgrounds in our rural areas.
The main characters of this story are two middle-aged men who have a criminal background. Due to his involvement in various crimes, the police arrested him and put him in lock up. Due to the fact that cases of murder, robbery, theft and attempted murder were registered against him in various police stations in Punjab.
The police Raiding parties were looking for them. Finally, the police managed to catch both criminals and the criminals were produced in court. The court remanded the accused for fifteen days for further investigation and they were handed over to the Investigation Officer.
Jangloos Novel Part 3 Pdf:
After the investigation was completed, the judge ordered the two criminals to be sent to the Central Jail. These two men remained in jail for many years. Later he managed to escape from the jail with the connivance of the jail staff.
After escaping from prison, they started living in a forest by making a hut. Their life was like that of nomadic people and they did not have any necessities of life. It is a social story that reflects the rural society of Punjab.
This novel was written by Shaukat Siddiqui in the nineties. Seeing the popularity of this novel, many novelists wrote novels with similar characters. However, no other novel could get the popularity that Jangloos’s story got.
Critics of Urdu literature say that Shaukat Siddiqui is a classical novelist with an ancient style of writing. Mature Urdu readers know him as a mature and senior novelist.
Author’s Introduction:
Shaukat Siddiqui is a famous Pakistani Urdu novelist. He was born on March 20, 1923 in Lucknow, India. Shaukat received his primary education from Lucknow. In 1944, he obtained his BA and MA degrees from Lucknow.
Later they shifted to Lahore after the formation of Pakistan. Here he continued to do various jobs. After some time he shifted to Karachi. Shaukat has written Urdu short stories as well as novels.
During his stay in Karachi, he worked as an editor in various newspapers, Daily Anwar and Daily Equanimity. In 1984, he left the field of journalism and began to work as a full-time author and editor.
