Pyar Ka Pehla Shehar is the mutual love story of a young Pakistani boy and a French girl. The Pakistani boy’s name is Sanan and the French girl’s name is Pascale. Sinan is staying in Paris to visit France. One day, while walking in a park, Sinan saw a young and beautiful girl who was walking with great difficulty.

This girl is facing a lot of difficulty in walking due to her leg being affected by typhoid. Sinan felt very sorry for the disabled girl and helped her a lot to walk. After that, Sanan made it a habit to help him like this. When she came for a walk in the park every day, Sanan would hold her arm and help her walk.

Other visitors to the park praise him for helping a disabled girl. Pascal, a French girl, is greatly impressed by Sinan’s friendly demeanor and humanitarian feelings. She makes Pakistani young man Sanan her best friend. Impressed by his good behavior, she decides to marry him soon.

Sinan tells her that we both have different religions, cultures, and languages, so he is unable to decide on marriage right now. However, as a friend, he will keep in touch with her and they will continue to meet.

In the story of this novel, the author wants to tell us that love does not need language and culture. Pascal and Sinan belong to two different countries, cultures, and societies, but overcome by feelings of love and friendship, they come closer to each other.

Author’s Introduction:

Mustansar Hussain Tarar is a senior Urdu novelist, short story writer, playwright, travel writer, and TV host. He was born on March 1, 1939, in Gujarat; Pakistan. The writer received his primary education in his hometown Gujarat.

Later he came to Lahore city to pursue higher education. From there he obtained his MA Urdu degree from a higher educational institution like Government College Lahore. Mustansar started his writing career during his studies.

He has written many Urdu novels. The author mostly writes romantic novels. Apart from this, he is skilled in writing Urdu short stories. Many collections of his short stories have been published. He is considered among the few senior novelists of the Urdu language.
